C5 Vineyard

Cinque Stelle Winery has released a sister wine label called C5 Ranch and Vineyard.  The new wine project features wines produced from the estate C5 vineyard located in the Santa Ynez Valley. The Crist family purchased this established vineyard in 2007.  They decided to continue producing ultra-premium fruit for their own use, as well as, many local esteemed winemakers.  By utilizing hand-farming techniques the Crist’s are able to control the vineyard in a manner that enables them to produce the highest quality product year after year.  This attention to detail continues to influence their winemaking philosophy.

These limited, organic-sustainable farmed wines are meticulously handcrafted from our vineyard to bottle by the talented winemaker Matthew Crist. The seventeen-year-old vineyard is located west of Refugio Road and north of the Santa Ynez River.  This location offers a very unique microclimate associated with its proximity to the base of the Santa Ynez Mountains and a stone throw from the river.  The foggy mornings, warm sunny days and cool evenings provide an environment conducive to producing premium fruit from each grape variety specifically selected for this microclimate.

Matthew produces small lot production wines from their estate C5 vineyard specializing in Albarino, Tempranillo, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese, and Syrah.

This C5 Ranch and Vineyard label is meant to represent our Estate as a whole, which is not only wine but horses too. Our Estate has 10 beautiful American Quarter Horses with the addition of two new colts. They made their grand arrival in February! We look forward to sharing this new wine label with you all and hope that you will love these wines as much as we do.

“It is a privilege to be able to share these exceptionally fine wines. Making wine takes a lot of time and patience.  I have enjoyed crafting these wines and perfecting my own personal style and flair. I look forward to sharing our new releases with the public!”
